Every repair we perform leaves with the same promise: if our work, or a part we supplied, fails within 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, bring the car back and we'll make it right. It's the simplest way we know to say we stand behind the job.
What's covered
The warranty covers the parts we supply and the labor to install them, on repairs performed at our shop. If a covered repair doesn't hold, the return visit is on us: we verify what happened on a lift and explain it in plain language.
How a claim works
Keep your invoice - though you don't strictly need it, because we keep your full service history. Not sure we even touched the part you suspect? Call (310) 373-7676 and Lydia, Aatif, or Alex will help you pull your records and tell you straight whether the repair sits inside the 2-year / 24,000-mile window. Feel free to ask for the person who handled your repair - you deal with the same faces at every visit here, and that's exactly when it matters most. If it traces back to our parts or our work, we correct it at no charge. And if something comes up a few days or weeks past the window, talk to us anyway - we're not the fine-print type, especially when your satisfaction with Hillside Auto Repair is on the line. Your satisfaction always outranks the calendar.
What's not covered
So there are no surprises, the honest exclusions:
- Customer-supplied parts. We're glad to discuss installing a part you bring us, but we can't warranty parts we didn't source - and if a customer-supplied part fails, the labor around it isn't covered either.
- Repairs based on a customer-supplied diagnosis. If we perform work per an outside diagnosis we didn't verify ourselves, we can't warranty the outcome - one more reason we always diagnose in-house - even if another shop or the dealership gave you a diagnosis slip.
- Third-party warranty contracts are their own thing. When a warranty company (dealer-backed or aftermarket) pays for a repair, coverage follows that contract's terms - though we handle the claim with them either way.
